Philippe Citerne Joins Advisory Council at Perella Weinberg Partners

London, June 4, 2009 - Perella Weinberg Partners is pleased to announce that Philippe Citerne has joined the Firm as a member of its Advisory Council. In this role, Mr. Citerne will work with the Firm’s partners on strategic issues and clientrelated matters.

Mr. Citerne recently retired as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale, where he held various senior positions over nearly 30 years at Société Générale, including serving as a member of the Group’s General Management since 1997.

As a member of Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory Council, Mr. Citerne will work closely with Bernard Gault and Arnaud Dassy, the two partners in Perella Weinberg Partners’ advisory business who are primarily focused on France. He will also be actively engaged in the Firm’s advisory services to clients in the European financial services sector, working closely with Stefan Jentzsch. Mr. Jentzsch recently joined Perella Weinberg Partners as a Partner, from Dresdner Kleinwort, where he was Chief Executive Officer.

The Advisory Council of Perella Weinberg Partners is chaired by Mr. William Donaldson, former Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Other members of the Advisory Council include Ibrahim Dabdoub, William Hambrecht and Walter Isaacson.

About Philippe Citerne

Mr. Citerne recently retired as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale. His nearly 30 year career at the bank included several senior positions and responsibilities.

In 1979, he joined Société Générale’s Economic Research Service and was named Chief Economist at the beginning of 1984. In October 1986, he was named Director of Financial Management for the Société Générale Group. In October 1995, he was named Deputy Chief Executive Officer, in charge of the Resources and Services Division. In March 1997, in addition to this Division, he assumed responsibility for the Retail Banking Division.

Prior to his tenure at Société Générale Group, Mr. Citerne was the Bureau Chief of Energy, Transport and Equipment in the Forecast department of the French Ministry of Finance. He began his career as was a project manager in the Business department of INSEE (France’s national statistical bureau).

Mr. Citerne also serves as Deputy Chairman (non exec) of Accor SA. He is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, with an undergraduate degree in Economics and a postgraduate degree in Mathematics.
